Orphée focuses on complex cross-border disputes and international arbitration across Africa. He advises and represents clients in international commercial arbitration, multi-jurisdictional litigation, and the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards. His practice includes international debt recovery and disputes involving States and state-owned entities, as well as banking and project finance disputes and large-scale infrastructure and energy-related conflicts.
Career
Orphée is Head of Disputes at ADNA, a leading pan-African law firm with offices across North, West and Central Africa. A member of the Paris Bar, he has built a practice centred on disputes involving States, state-owned entities, multinational corporations and financial institutions. He regularly leads multi-jurisdictional teams in matters combining local African legal systems with international arbitration frameworks.
Prior to joining ADNA, he practised at Fénéon Delabrière Avocats and trained with leading international and French law firms, including Clifford Chance (Paris), Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle (Paris) and De Guillenchmidt & Associés (now part of Veil Jourde).
Industry Sector Expertise
Orphée has significant experience in the energy, mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure sectors, particularly in Francophone Africa. His work includes disputes arising from large-scale industrial and construction projects, public-private partnerships, natural resources concessions and cross-border financing arrangements. He is particularly familiar with the legal and operational complexities of projects involving sovereign counterparties.
