-Advising Umnai Ltd, a deep-tech company, which has developed a new ground-breaking neuro-symbolic architecture for explainable hybrid artificial intelligence (XAI), breaking through the limitations of the current prevailing AI technology with the formulation of submissions for US, Canada, Europe via PCT patents and Taiwan patents. In total, she has assisted Umnai with the application for over 50 patents, out of which 30 have been now granted in the USA, Canada and Taiwan
-Advising one of the world’s leading social media platforms on the company’s obligations in Malta emanating from the EU ePrivacy Directive in relation to actions to be carried out in response to a cybersecurity incident

Career
Olga Finkel is Co-Founder and Partner of WH Partners. She launched her own practice, WH Law, in 2006, which later evolved into WH Partners in 2012 alongside James Scicluna. Olga is widely regarded as a leading global lawyer in gaming & gambling, technology law and regulatory compliance, with more than two decades of experience advising major international clients on strategic, commercial and regulatory matters across digital, regulated and technology sectors.
Her work spans regulatory frameworks for online and land-based gambling, fintech and e-commerce, AML, data protection and privacy, as well as complex corporate and M&A transactions. Olga regularly advises large international gaming groups, financial services operators, technology companies and telecoms clients on licensing, compliance and cross-border regulatory challenges.
