Ning Dong focuses on intellectual property litigation and counseling, with particular strength in complex, high-value IP disputes for technology companies.
Over the past two decades, Mr. Dong has represented clients in numerous high-impact, technically complex matters before China’s leading IP courts. His experience includes a series of patent infringement actions between top domestic companies, as well as patent and trade secret disputes in China involving multiple multinational corporations. Drawing on a technical background in computer hardware and software, wireless communications, semiconductors, and optoelectronics, he quickly identifies decisive issues in difficult cases and develops effective litigation strategies. He is particularly skilled at coordinating infringement litigation with related patent invalidation proceedings to maximize clients’ strategic advantage.
Mr. Dong also has substantial non-contentious IP experience. He has advised leading companies in the TMT and medical device sectors on tailored IP management and compliance programs, conducted IP due diligence, and assisted numerous technology companies with patent prosecution.
Before joining GEN Law, Mr. Dong practiced for more than 14 years at three top-tier Chinese IP firms. He has been recognized in China Business Law Journal’s A‑List as a “Growth Driver” and was named one of Lvxinnews’ Top 20 Intellectual Property (Patent) Lawyers.
