Specialist defence practice covering all areas of serious and complex crime, homicide, terrorism, extreme violence, firearms, people trafficking, commercial fraud, money laundering and large-scale drug cases. Has particular expertise representing young and/or vulnerable offenders and in cases with young Prosecution witnesses. Completed Inns of Court Advocacy and Vulnerable Witness Course 2018.

Has had cases stayed as an abuse of the process; in particular those of murder following witness collusion, rape, historic sex abuse, fraud, money laundering and corruption.

Has successfully defended in very many cases including terrorism; gang murder; a blind man charged with murder by multiple stabbings; an educationally sub normal woman charged with torture and murder; a young offender with Asperger Syndrome charged with raping two young females; a 13 year old charged with rape of step-sister; conspiracy to cheat; commercial drug importations where duty loss approx £6m; a high profile Manchester trial where rival gang-land family feuds culminated in gunshot and hand grenade murders; terrorism allegation of plot to kill military/police in central London [co-defendant Dale Cregan]; mother causing death of 7 week old baby.

Other cases include murder by starvation and long term violence of four year old step-son Daniel Pelka; terrorism funding; fraud upon Home Office.; revenge kidnap and manslaughter. £5m fraud using government funds.
