Nicole B. Cordeiro recently became an equity partner at Smith Duggan Cornell & Gollub LLP. She chairs the firm’s Family Law practice and co-chairs the Trusts and Estates practice.

With 18 years of experience, Nicole specializes in dealing with Department of Children and Families investigations, restraining orders, and criminal matters that are often linked to divorce and custody issues. She also handles complex estate planning and has formed an expert planning team to provide services and resources for families with loved ones who have special needs.

Nicole has extensive litigation experience before the Massachusetts Superior Court, the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

She honed her litigation skills as a prosecutor in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, prosecuting a wide variety of felonies.

She is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, dedicated to resolving family conflicts.
