Natalie Lester

Natalie is a partner and head of Debenhams Ottaway’s divorce and family law team, advising clients on the full range of family law matters including divorce, separation, financial settlements, child arrangements and relationship agreements.

She has particular expertise in complex financial remedy cases, including mid-to-high value matters involving business owners, high-profile individuals and clients with significant wealth. Natalie also advises on pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and cohabitation agreements, helping clients protect their interests at the outset of a relationship.

Natalie is also recognised for her work in complex children matters, including highly contentious child arrangement disputes and international relocation cases. She supports parents seeking permission to relocate with their children overseas, as well as those opposing relocation applications.

A further area of Natalie’s specialist practice is surrogacy law. She advises intended parents and surrogates on domestic and international surrogacy arrangements, including parental orders and the legal steps needed to bring a child born through international surrogacy to the UK.

Natalie is known for being approachable, determined and pragmatic. She gives clear, strategic advice and works closely with clients to achieve the best possible outcome during what are often highly personal and sensitive matters.
