Narcisa Oprea is a local partner at Schoenherr și Asociații SCA and head of the capital markets group since 2008, when she joined the firm. With over 25 years of experience in capital markets, Narcisa has acted on numerous landmark capital markets transactions. She is certified as a trainer by the Romanian Financial Authority acting for various professional associations (more than 2,000 hours of trainings, more than 3,000 individuals attending). In addition, she is an active lobbyist for changing the local capital markets legal framework so that it is better aligned with international standards. She was one of the coordinators of the "Great Barriers Shift" taskforce organised by the Coalition for the Development of Romania to ensure that the legal framework complies with the requirements for upgrading the Romanian capital markets at the emerging markets tier. Narcisa contributed to the OECD White Paper on Corporate Governance in SEE and acted as OECD rapporteur on implementation of the OECD Corporate Governance Principles in Romania.
