Nadia is the head of the Blackfords LLP proceeds of crime and asset recovery team and specialises in confiscation and restraint issues under Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, as well as matters prosecuted under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and Drug Trafficking Act 1994. She is highly experienced in the Crown Court, High Court and Magistrates’ Court in proceeds of crime matters and is often instructed in high value confiscation matters prosecuted by the HMRC, SFO, FCA and local authorities. As well as having significant experience in substantive confiscation proceedings Nadia undertakes instructions on other POCA proceedings including restraint, receivership, contempt, enforcement, cash seizure, civil recovery, s22 uplifts and s23 reductions. Nadia has represented a number of high profile clients whose matters have been widely reported in the national press. As a solicitor advocate she has also been instructed as junior on large scale confiscations.
