Work Highlights
Represented a client convicted of driving without due care and attention and given six penalty points and had their driving licence revoked under new driver provisions. Successfully applied to have the case reopened and persuaded the court to impose only three penalty points and have the driving licence reinstated by the DVLA.
Represented a client charged with being in possession of a bladed article (a ninja star). Argued that our client had good reason to be in possession of the item as they had argued with their partner and been kicked out of their home. They had the item in a box with other items of sentimental value as they did not want to leave it behind. Our client claimed that the item belonged to his grandfather and it had sentimental value to him. Although his grandfather was not a ninja, his explanation was accepted and he was acquitted.
Represented a client charged with the production of cannabis after 207 cannabis plants with a yield value of up to £174,000 were found.
