Career

Mihaela has been a member of the Rizoiu & Asociații team since her admittance to the Bucharest Bar in 2014, becoming a Partner in 2021. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Law and a Ph.D., summa cum laudae.

She is a seasoned legal professional with a focus on corporate law, commercial contracts, banking and finance law, regulatory compliance, and data privacy. Her recent interests have been focused on digital banking.

Mihaela also teaches Civil Law, Legal Writing and Smart Contracts as an assistant lecturer at the University of Bucharest Faculty of Law. This dual role as both practitioner and educator provides a unique advantage to her clients, her commitment to legal education not only shaping the next generation of lawyers but also continually refining her own practice, ensuring that clients receive advice that is both deeply experienced and academically informed.

Among multiple academic papers, Mihaela is the author of a Ph.D. thesis on Contract Interpretation, published in 2023, as well as co-author of a pioneer textbook on Legal Writing.
