Partner with particular expertise in regulatory and public law. Acts for regulators, regulated business and individuals in regulatory investigations, complex disciplinary proceedings, statutory appeals, judicial reviews, professional liability disputes and other regulatory litigation.
In addition to his contentious practice, advises on regulatory issues and applications for authorisation, and drafts regulatory and disciplinary rules and procedures.
Recent work; Advising a number of firms and individual professionals concerning allegations of sexual misconduct; acted for ARB in a statutory appeal against a suspension decision; acted for the SRA in disciplinary proceedings against Leigh Day arising from allegations of abuse by soldiers in Iraq and the related appeal before the Administrative Court; advised a healthcare body concerning a publication decision and ECHR implications.
