Michael is a partner and a member of the management board of POELLATH and joined the firm in 1999.
Michael advises national and international companies from various industries on corporate and private equity transactions, venture capital investments including business successions, private asset transactions and related tax planning. His client base includes corporate and VC/PE companies.
He is frequently ranked in domestic and international publications.
Michael studied law in Münster/Westphalia (Ph.D., 1995). He served as a research assistant at the European Union (1994) and was a lecturer for public finance at the "Westfälische Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie" (1994-1996). Michael was an associate professor at the Niigata University (Japan, 1996-1997) and guest professor at the Institute of Public Finance at Beijing University (China, 1997). Since 2002, he is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Regensburg at the Institute of Tax Law.
He is a board member of a private company.
