Michael Forrester

Michael heads Brandsmiths’ Manchester Office and the Litigation Team firm wide. He works with clients across the UK and Internationally, with a wide range of experience across IP, Media, Sport and a variety of other commercial claims. Michael also uses his litigation experience to help solve other problems, or make deals happen.

Michael has experience for clients such as Spectrum Brands (Remington, Russell Hobbs, Daks Pets), Iconix Brand Group (Umbro, Lee Cooper, Starter), Everton FC, Missguided, and Beagle Orthopaedic, plus a range of other fast growth companies and startups. He believes clients should also be given clear, pragmatic advice: answers first, backed up by applied legal principles.

Michael is regularly instructed on business-critical issues, with particular experience of injunctive proceedings before the IP and Commercial lists of the High Court. He has been listed in the leading legal directories since 2016 as providing “clear, direct and commercial advice” which is “tactically astute’ and being “tenacious” where necessary.
