Matthew's practice encompasses advisory, drafting and litigation in the areas of trusts and estates (including trusts in divorce), related company law, insolvency, and civil fraud. He regularly appears in the higher courts in the UK.
Matthew also has a strong offshore practice in those areas and related private international law issues. As well as being called to the Bahamas Bar and BVI Bar, Matthew frequently advises and appears in matters arising from all of the principal offshore jurisdictions, including Bermuda, Cayman, the Channel Islands, and more recently Barbados, St Kitts & Nevis and Grenada, and in the Privy Council. He has also acted as an expert on Bahamian law in the UK and US courts.
Due to the nature of Matthew's practice he is comfortable acting as leader, or as part of a wider team in multiple jurisdictions.
