Matthew Gorman

Matthew has over 25 years’ of experience, advising clients on a broad range of corporate finance and commercial transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and equity issues by public and private companies. He also regularly advises on private equity and venture capital deals, and regularly advises on both buy and sell side transactions. He is co-chair of Reed Smith’s Indonesia Business team.

He has particular experience acting for clients in the energy and natural resources, media, technology and transportation and logistics sectors, who are doing business in or looking to enter into the Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, India and Cambodia markets.

Having spent many years working in both Europe and Asia, Matthew has developed a sound understanding of the differing cultures and corporate business styles that are key to the successful outcome of international transactions in both regions.
