Adams and Reese partner, general counsel, and Appellate Practice Team Leader, Martin Stern has handles hundreds of appeals throughout his career. He has argued before each of the Louisiana circuit courts of appeal, the U.S. Fourth and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the Louisiana Supreme Court. Martin is one of 15 lawyers certified as an Appellate Practice Specialist by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. He also serves as a director of the Bar Association of the Federal Fifth Circuit (BAFFC).
In addition to arguing appeals before the courts, Martin is also adept at authoring amicus briefs. He teaches at an annual continuing legal education course on the subject for the LSU Law Center. He is also often called upon as an expert witness in the field of appellate litigation.
