Marshall R. Pasternack, Partner at Bilzin Sumberg's Corporate Practice Group, has a highly sophisticated Corporate & Joint Venture practice with extensive transactional experience. He is highly respected for his work in real estate limited partnerships, joint ventures, and similar transactions. He has represented numerous sponsors in such transactions as well as numerous institutional investors. Having been on both sides of these transactions, Marshall creates value for his clients by having a unique and balanced view, one which allows his clients to reach their objectives more effectively and efficiently. Marshall also routinely handles sophisticated mergers and acquisitions. Marshall has been consistently recognized by legal publications including Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, and Florida Super Lawyers. Marshall is a former member of the Greater Miami Sports and Exhibition Authority's National Basketball Association Subcommittee (1984-1987), which was instrumental in the creation of the Miami Heat. Currently, Marshall is an adjunct professor at the University Of Miami School Of Law where he teaches in the Real Property Development LLM Program. He is past chairman of the Social Action Committee, Temple Judea, which was recognized with a national award for promoting Black-Jewish relations after Hurricane Andrew; he is a Certified Public Accountant.
