Mark Silver is a partner on Atlanta’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, with a focus on complex civil litigation in the areas of business, environmental, commercial, unfair competition and consumer protection law. Chambers USA 2022 ranked Dentons’ Georgia TCPA practice in Band 1, and Mark’s handling of dozens of consumer and statutory class actions brought under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin, has contributed to that recognition. Mark has also defended clients against class actions brought under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and California’s Automatic Renewal Law (ARL). In addition he regularly counsels organizations on compliance with these federal and state laws.
Mr. Silver has argued cases before Georgia trial courts, Georgia’s Court of Appeals, Georgia’s Supreme Court, and federal district and appellate courts throughout the country.
Career
Prior to joining Dentons, Mr. Silver served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable R. Lanier Anderson, III, of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
