Margarida is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution practice. With more than 8 years of professional experience, she is particularly dedicated to PLMJ's insurance practice. She deals with regulatory matters and advises on the underwriting or review of insurance portfolios. She also handles claims and represents clients in arbitration and court proceedings relating to insurance coverage. In addition to insurance, since 2016 Margarida has also represented clients in dispute resolution in the areas of banking, finance and civil law.
A graduate of the Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon, Margarida also holds a master's degree in law and management from the same institution.
She previously worked as a legal adviser at the Ageas Group and as an associate at CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut in the area of dispute resolution and arbitration, with a particular focus on banking, finance and insurance. Margarida has been a member of AIDA Joven, an association of young insurance lawyers, since 2022.
