Marc Rodrigue

Marc is a founding partner of Protea LLP. His practice focuses on advising and representing employers in labour, employment, and human rights matters. Marc is known for providing clear, strategic, and practical advice to clients facing complex workplace issues, helping organizations navigate legal, regulatory, and employee relations challenges while balancing business objectives and risk management. As a trusted advisor, Marc works closely with employers to develop solutions that are both legally sound and operationally effective.

A seasoned advocate, Marc has extensive experience representing clients before courts, arbitrators, labour boards, and administrative tribunals across Ontario and in the federal sector. He has appeared before various levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and regularly represents employers in litigation, arbitration, and other workplace disputes. While a strong and effective advocate, Marc remains focused on achieving the best outcome for his clients, whether through negotiated resolution or strategic litigation.

Prior to founding Protea LLP, Marc spent more than a decade practising at a large national law firm, advising employers across a broad range of labour and employment law matters. He also served as Director of Policy to Ontario's Minister of Labour, where he played a key role in the development of significant workplace legislation. This combination of legal, policy, and advocacy experience provides Marc with a unique perspective on the evolving workplace landscape and the challenges faced by employers.
