Career

Marc Lorelli is a Shareholder and Co-Chair of Brooks Kushman’s intellectual property litigation practice. Over the course of his career, he has played a central role in building and growing the firm’s litigation team into a nationally recognized practice. He has successfully tried patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright cases in federal courts across the country and is regularly engaged as lead trial counsel in complex, high-stakes disputes. In addition to his trial work, Marc has argued appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, including a significant decision addressing patent eligibility under Section 101. He also has substantial experience representing clients in investigations before the International Trade Commission, where he has achieved favorable outcomes for both complainants and respondents.

Marc’s practice spans all phases of litigation, from pre-suit strategy and case development through trial and appeal. His experience includes conducting jury selection, examining witnesses, presenting oral arguments, leading Markman hearings, and managing complex discovery. He also advises clients on post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has counseled clients in more than 50 such matters, integrating these proceedings into broader litigation strategies
