Mahasti Razavi, Managing Partner at August Debouzy, provides both advisory and litigation support on legal issues related to major technological and digital transformations in a highly regulated European landscape.
She assists key players in the technology, finance, luxury, retail, and telecommunications sectors with their digital initiatives and compliance efforts under key European regulations (including the AI Act, DORA, Data Act, DMA, DSA, and NIS 2). She is driven by a core conviction: turning regulatory requirements into a genuine competitive advantage.
With 30 years of experience, Mahasti Razavi advises organizations on their transformation and governance strategies in a rapidly evolving technological and regulatory environment. Her cross-disciplinary approach, combined with her international background, shaped notably by her experience and years spent in the United States, is enriched by her Franco-American legal education and her admission to the New York Bar.
A former lecturer at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and the Paris Bar School (École de Formation du Barreau de Paris (EFB)), she now speaks at numerous conferences on topics such as artificial intelligence, the DORA regulation, contracting for major digital projects, managing litigation risk, and emerging legal practices related to AI.
She regularly contributes to the Cité de la Réussite and the Women’s Forum for the Economy, providing insights on technological, ethical, and societal challenges arising from digital transformation.
Mahasti has been Managing Partner at August Debouzy since January 1, 2018. In June 2022, she became a member of the Board of Directors of the French-American Foundation, whose long-standing partnership with the firm reflects the firm’s commitment to fostering Franco-American dialogue.
