Magdalena Varas is an associate at Ried Fabres. Her practice focuses on capital markets, banking and finance, and corporate law.

She provides ongoing legal services to key participants in both the local and international derivatives markets, as well as to issuers and underwriters in domestic and cross-border bond offerings. She also advises fund managers on the structuring of complex financing arrangements.

She offers continuous legal support to various banks and corporations in the negotiation of ISDA Master Agreements and related credit support documentation, including Credit Support Annexes (CSAs), Initial Margin CSAs, and Variation Margin CSAs, across a broad spectrum of counterparties. Additionally, she advises clients in their negotiations involving Global Master Repurchase Agreements (GMRAs), FIA-ISDA Cleared Derivatives Execution Agreements, Securities Lending Agreements, and other related documentation.

She also provides ongoing legal counsel to fund managers such as BCI, Ameris Capital, Venturance, and others, advising on the structuring, documentation, and negotiation of transactions involving debt instruments and alternative investment assets across their respective portfolios.
