Madelaine Hailey

Maddy is a Resolution accredited expert in complex higher income financial remedies and cohabitation & TOLATA. Advising on all aspects of private family law, Maddy has particular expertise in complex financial matters relating to both married and cohabiting couples.

Maddy has significant experience in drafting and advising on wealth protection solutions including high value pre and post nuptial agreements, as well as following a family separation.

Maddy also advises clients in relation to matters concerning children and has represented clients through surrogacy arrangements, private adoption and in Hague Convention proceedings.

Prior to joining Hall Brown, Maddy worked at a highly regarded commercial practice in Manchester, where she gained vast experience dealing with complex trust and business arrangements.

A member of Resolution, Maddy sits on the Greater Manchester committee and is an avid believer that family lawyers should advise their clients pragmatically and constructively. Maddy prides herself on advising and representing her clients sensitively but robustly.

In the Legal 500, where she is ranked as a Leading Associate, Maddy has been described as ‘staggeringly bright with exceptional judgement’.
