Practice Areas

Specialist in all aspects of divorce and cohabitation disputes, in particular those involving complex financial settlements, family businesses and those with an international element. He has specialised as a family lawyer for 27 years and has acted for well-known public figures, as well as senior people in the legal profession and businessmen and businesswomen. Andrew won Legal Commentator of the Year at the 2017 Family Law Awards. He lectures on family law issues across the country and provides the annual update at Resolution’s National Conference. He writes three of the leading columns on family law for The Law Society Gazette, Resolution Review and Family Law. He has co-written several text books on family law and regularly comments on family law issues in the national media.

Professional Memberships

Resolution Accredited Specialist. Former Chair of Manchester Resolution and Resolution's national training committee. Listed in the Citywealth Honours List. Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Career

Qualified as a solicitor in 1991. Joined Pannone (now Slater and Gordon) in 1996 and became a partner in 1998. Became head of the family, personal and financial division in 2010. Andrew was made head of personal legal services in 2014 as part of Slater and Gordon’s acquisition of Pannone. Joined Hall Brown Family Law in October 2016.
