Luminiţa Popa is an independent arbitrator, counsel, and legal expert with a strong foundation in international arbitration and a transactional background encompassing various sectors such as energy & natural resources, construction & engineering, M&A and technology.
As arbitrator and counsel, she handles arbitrations under many of the major arbitral rules in a broad range of sectors. She also served as a member of the International Court of Arbitration of the ICC from 2018 to 2024.
Drawing on her transactional experience of more than 24 years, she brings a comprehensive understanding of various sectors to the arbitration process, allowing her to approach disputes with a well-rounded perspective. She is an active member of the arbitration community, a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, a Fellow of CIArb since 2012 and a founding member of the ArbCEE (Arbitration Association of Central and Eastern Europe).
