Career

Luis Monsalvo, Co-Managing Partner of the firm, heads the Labour and Employment Law practice. With over 25 years’ experience, he advises multinational corporations with investments in Mexico in all aspects of legal compliance.

A tenured counsel, Luis represents management in key labor strategies from design to litigation. He is constantly requested to advise in relevant amendments to the Federal Labor Law. Some of his notable engagements include serving as Panelist for the USMCA under the Rapid Response Labour Mechanism between USA and Mexico. He has also been appointed by the Mexican federations to represent employers at the International Labour Organization on different relevant discussions.

Luis holds an LL.M. from Columbia University, a graduate degree in Labour Law from Universidad Panamericana, and a law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana. Luis is active within both relevant Mexican Bar Associations and several national commerce chambers, and lectured at Universidad Iberoamericana for nearly 20 years.
