Lucy has a strong background working in general private client work before specialising in Court of Protection work in 2009. As such she is able to provide wide-ranging and holistic advice to her clients ensuring that they are well placed to continue with their lives after loss of capacity.
Lucy continues to develop a dynamic team focused on client service and experience. The team is dedicated solely to Court of Protection practice and assisting vulnerable clients.
Lucy continues to work with clients who have sustained catastrophic brain injuries and who are living with life changing and often life limiting conditions. Lucy’s special interest and experience lends itself to standalone applications for the approval of statutory Wills, gifts, gratuitous care payments, the removal of an attorney or deputy and other related matters. She deals with a range of complex applications including matters with parties with complicated high value estates, VIP clients and cases arising from financial abuse. In the latter, Lucy’s focus has been on strategies to report and remedy situations where financial abuse has already occurred. Lucy can also assist clients with the creation and ongoing administration of Personal Injury Trusts for adults and children.
