Louise Combstock

Louise is a Partner in VWV's Estates, Tax Planning and Trusts team, bringing over 14 years of experience to her role. She specialises in estate administration, succession planning, trusts, wills, and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), with a particular focus on supporting vulnerable adults and handling matters related to the Court of Protection.

Her in-depth knowledge of estate administration enables her to guide families through the complexities of available tax reliefs, including the nil-rate band, residence nil-rate band, Business Property Relief, and Agricultural Property Relief. Louise also has significant experience assisting with estates that involve cross-border assets or non-domiciled UK residency.

In succession planning, Louise advises on lifetime trusts and drafts wills and LPAs tailored to meet her clients' specific needs. For families with vulnerable members, she provides expert guidance on safeguarding wealth through Vulnerable Persons Trusts and bespoke LPAs.

Louise’s expertise extends to Court of Protection applications, including those for bespoke gifting, professional or lay Deputies for property and financial affairs, and welfare matters. She also manages a significant number of court applications for Trustee appointments and collaborates with her team to oversee Deputyship files for professional Deputies appointed within the firm.

With extensive experience in estate administration, succession planning, trusts, wills, LPAs, and matters involving vulnerable adults and the Court of Protection, Louise adopts a client-centered approach.
