Career
Lily Acquaye has expertise in various areas of law, including Oil & Gas, Banking and Finance and Capital Markets. She led the JLD & MB team which advised the Government of Ghana on its successful and oversubscribed Government bonds from 2013 to 2020.
Within the Firm, she also provides leadership in the Oil and Gas Practice Group, assisting local and international clients to navigate the complexities of Ghanaian law with ease, including ExxonMobil Corporation, Heritage Oil, McDermott, and Vantage Drilling.
She has led several key multinational transactions across various practice areas and has been recognized by IFLR1000 as a Leading Lawyer/ Highly Regarded Lawyer in Banking, Capital Markets, M&A. She was also named as part of IFLR1000’s Women Leaders 2021.
Lily holds an LLB from the University of Botswana; a BL from the Ghana School of Law and an LLM in Corporate Law from the New York University School of Law. She has been called to the Ghana Bar and the New York State Bar.
