Ligia has been assisting clients in national and international arbitration and mediation proceedings, in negotiation and drafting of complex contracts and corporate documents, as well as in financial restructuring proceedings

for more than10 years. PhD in International Commercial Law from the University of São Paulo (USP), Ligia also holds a Master and a Bachelor of Law degrees from the same institution. Scholar

at the Max-Planck Institut für Ausländisches und Internationales Privatrecht (Germany) and at the UNIDROIT Institute (Italy).

She holds a scholarship granted by the Bayerisches Hochschulzentrum für Lateinamerika (BAYLAT) for research in International Commercial Law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and a scholarship granted by Erasmus Mundus, financed by the European Union, for undergraduate studies at the University of Coimbra (Portugal).
