A highly experienced Solicitor Advocate specialising in professional regulatory and disciplinary cases with an emphasis on clinical defence, Laura carries out her own advocacy in respect of both Public and Fatal Accident Inquiries, on occasion junioring to senior counsel. She has great experience before the General Medical Council and the General Dental Council, and is increasingly being instructed in relation to other professions, generally conducting the interim stages without counsel. She has been described in the directories as being “absolutely excellent” with “sound judgement and a feel for her cases”. She has also represented students before University fitness to practice and disciplinary hearings. In addition to her regulatory work, Laura handles a clinical negligence caseload across both the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts. She has been applauded for her “dynamic preparation” and is considered “a force to be reckoned with”. She enjoys working with her clients to ensure the best outcomes for them.
