Kobi Dorenbush

Kobi Dorenbush has a practice centered around corporate finance, M&A and real estate law.

Kobi is a lawyer and business advisor practicing from our Toronto office. He has practiced internationally in the areas of financial services and investment funds for over 20 years. Between 2011 and 2017, Kobi was a senior officer in several international banks and trust companies. Between 2017 and 2018, Kobi was a Director with Promontory Financial Group, an IBM Company – a consulting firm specializing exclusively in the financial services industry. Kobi’s practice focused on the intersection of traditional banking and “frontier financial services”.

Kobi has been involved in various start-ups in the fields of real estate lending and financial technology. He has experience in developing and managing strategic capital plans for businesses, including public offerings, reverse take-overs and private equity.

Kobi currently advises various businesses on matters of capital management, operations and risk, including various financial services businesses.

Kobi is an expert in international banking, correspondent banking and international payments/remittances and he is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist with the ACAMS organization.
