Kinji Bourchier KC

Kinji Bourchier, KC is National Co-Chair of the Commercial Litigation and Arbitration team at Cassels and a leading commercial litigator with a nationally recognized environmental litigation practice. He advises clients on environmental remediation cost recovery claims, contaminated-site disputes, and complex environmental liabilities, alongside a broad range of commercial litigation matters. An elected Executive Member of the Canadian Bar Association's BC Environmental Law Section, Kinji is actively involved in advancing environmental law in British Columbia. Kinji regularly appears as lead counsel before the British Columbia Supreme Court and has represented clients before the British Columbia Court of Appeal, the Alberta Court of King's Bench, and administrative tribunals, including the Environmental Appeal Board, Surface Rights Board and energy regulators. He has also been involved in proceedings seeking leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada.
