Kathryn is Head of Employment Law at Trethowans. Kathryn’s experience is vast and she offers a length and breadth of experience that makes her a formidable opponent. She has strong technical capability in all employment law areas including TUPE, discrimination, national minimum wage and working time regulation compliance. She also draws from years of experience and her EQ to support her corporate clients with the strategic management of difficult employees. From grievances to conduct and capability issues, Kathryn helps her clients get where they need to be.
Kathryn describes herself as problem solver. She helps her clients understand what the problem is and then she helps them fix it. Kathryn is direct, to the point and down-to-earth. She provides her clients with unwavering support during tricky times and demonstrates a dogged courage to see the job through.
Following her advocacy experience in both the county court and the magistrates, Kathryn is an experienced advocate in the Employment Tribunal.
Career
Kathryn qualified in 2007. In addition to a long career in private practice, Kathryn was seconded as in-house employment counsel to a FTSE 250 company and well as working for a local authority.
