Kathleen M Shay

Kathleen M. Shay, a partner at the law firm of Duane Morris LLP, is a corporate, organizational, transactional and securities lawyer who concentrates her practice in business finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, corporate governance and commercial contracts for both public and private corporations, general and limited partnerships and limited liability companies. Ms. Shay represents both established and emerging businesses in a wide range of legal transactions and issues, including equity and debt financings, structuring transactions, license agreements and other strategic relationships, mergers and acquisitions, governance matters, commercial contracts and executive compensation issues. She also regularly advises nonprofit organizations. A focus of Ms. Shay’s practice is representing companies and their investors in the life sciences, agricultural technologies, data and information technology, physical sciences, and other high-growth fields.

Ms. Shay serves on the Boards of Directors of University City Science Center and Life Sciences PA (formerly Pennsylvania Biotechnology Association) and the Board of Consultors of Villanova Law School, and she is a Director Emeritus of the Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT) and a Trustee Emeritus of the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur.
