Kathleen Campbell Walker is chair of the Firm’s Immigration Practice Group. She has over forty years of experience in complex business immigration solutions and strategies as well as in compliance planning and audits for multinational corporations and businesses. Her broad practice expertise includes worksite compliance, cross-border immigration, healthcare, manufacturing, academia, start-ups, family, naturalization, consular processing, admissions, waivers, security checks, and frequent traveler programs.
American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) – Former National President and General Counsel. Emeritus member of the Board of Governors. Recipient of AILA Founder’s Award given from time to time to the person or entity who has had the most substantial impact on field of immigration law or policy. Recipient of Annual AILA Service Excellence Award. Chaired the AILA national Department of State liaison committee, Customs and Border Protection liaison committee, Verification and Documentation liaison committee, and the Interagency committee.
Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Immigration and Nationality Law.
Testified before several times Congress and the Texas legislature on immigration policy and law as well as border security.
Served on the Council of Foreign Relations Independent Task Force on U.S. Immigration Policy.
Vice-Chair of the International Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Former Chair of the El Paso Chamber of Commerce and the El Paso Foreign Trade Association.
Admitted before the Texas Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the U.S. Court of International Trade, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Frequent speaker on immigration and nationality law at international, national, and state levels.
