Kathleen Campbell Walker is Co-chair of the Firm' s Immigration Practice Group. She has over forty years of experience in complex business immigration solutions and strategies as well as in compliance planning and audits for multinational corporations and businesses. Her broad practice expertise includes worksite compliance, cross-border immigration, healthcare, manufacturing, academia, start-ups, family, naturalization, consular processing, admissions, waivers, security checks, and frequent traveler programs.
American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) - Former National President and General Counsel. Emeritus member of the AILA Board of Governors. Chaired the AILA national Department of State liaison, Customs and Border Protection liaison, Verification and Documentation liaison, and Interagency committees. Currently, serving as Vice-Chair of the AILA Rule of Law Taskforce and a member of the AILA national media and Verification and Documentation committees.
Testified several times before Congress and the Texas legislature on immigration policy and law as well as border security. Current Chair of the International Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Former Chair of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce and the El Paso Foreign Trade Association. Selected to serve on the Council of Foreign Relations Independent Task Force on U.S. Immigration Policy, which was chaired by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and former White House Chief of Staff Thomas F. (Mack) McLarty, 2008. Frequent speaker on immigration and nationality law at international, national, and state levels.
