Katherine Schwartz is a shareholder in Hall Render's Indianapolis office who assists clients with a number of health law matters, focusing on fraud and abuse analyses related to the federal Stark, Anti-Kickback and Civil Monetary Penalties laws. Her practice includes hospital/physician contracting, hospital and health system relationships, regulatory and compliance issues, hospital/physician alignment and provider enrollment. Additionally, she assists clients on transactional matters, ensuring they remain compliant with the fraud and abuse laws that regulate the health care industry. Katherine serves a variety of health care providers including hospitals, physician practices and health systems.

Katherine graduated magna cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Prior to joining Hall Render, Katherine worked in private practice concentrating in assisted reproductive technology law. Katherine has given multiple presentations in the area of fraud and abuse to ranges of audiences and speaks four languages: Russian, Spanish, French and English.

Katherine resides north of Indianapolis with her husband, their two children and two mischievous cats. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling and baking.
