Charles “Chad” Sukurs is a health care transactions attorney who advises health care leaders on strategic mergers, acquisitions and alignment opportunities.
He represents hospitals, physicians, physician groups, dental practices and other health care organizations in complex transactions and ongoing business matters, combining deep industry knowledge with a practical, strategic approach. Chad regularly helps clients navigate governance considerations, tax‑exempt issues and physician alignment initiatives that support long‑term growth and stability.
Chad’s practice includes:
- Advising on hospital and health system mergers, acquisitions and divestitures;
- Structuring physician alignment and physician practice transactions;
- Counseling on governance, tax exemption and general business matters; and
- Supporting general corporate transactions and strategic initiatives.
In addition, Chad served as in‑house Chief Legal Officer for a 25‑hospital Catholic regional health system, where he oversaw legal operations and led a significant governance restructuring.
Chad lives in Indianapolis with his wife and their three children.
