Provided by Kajetan Wandowicz
Kajetan specialises in civil fraud, economic torts, general commercial disputes, injunctions, construction and infrastructure, shipping, insurance, and banking and finance. His practice is split about evenly between litigation (in English courts and offshore) and arbitration (LCIA, ICC, LMAA, and others). Geographically, he has particular experience of work concerning the Middle East, India, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Singapore, China (both mainland and Hong Kong) and offshore financial centres. He has extensive experience of disputes governed partly or entirely by foreign laws (both common law and civil law systems).
Current instructions include acting for Dr B.R. Shetty in various disputes arising out of the collapse of NMC Health and a number of confidential arbitrations arising out of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In addition to working as a junior, Kajetan has a substantial unled advocacy practice in the High Court and in arbitration. Recent public judgments as sole counsel include Longley v PPB Entertainment Ltd [2022] EWHC 977 (QB) and PD Teesport v P&O North Sea Ferries [2023] EWHC 857 (Comm).
Called 2018 by Lincoln’s Inn as a Denning Scholar. Called to the Bar of the British Virgin Islands in 2024. Served as a Judicial Assistant to Cockerill J, Jacobs J, and Bryan J in the Commercial Court and the Financial List.

Kajetan is unbelievably clever. What looks complex, he makes sound simple.
