Attorney Jun ZHANG specializes in providing legal services on family (corporate) governance and wealth management and has extensive research and practical experience in the family (corporate) top-level structure design and domestic and overseas family trust planning. Attorney Jun ZHANG is a senior partner, head of Family Office Industry Sector, and Leader of Trust, Estate and Wealth Preservation Practice Group of Dentons China Region. Attorney ZHANG has been deeply involved in the field of private client / wealth management and has received numerous honours. For two consecutive years, he has been ranked as Band 1 in “Private Client / Wealth Management” area by Chambers. Moreover, he has also been ranked as Band 1 of the Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2021-2023 and has been awarded “Private Client, the Lawyer of the Year” by China Law & Practice, and been named the Leading Light in “Private Client / Wealth Management” area by LEGALBAND.

During his 23 years of practice, in the early time, attorney ZHANG focused on corporate law. With keen industry insight, he led the team to turn to the business field of private wealth management and family enterprise governance since 2010 and promoted the team’s rapid development in this emerging field with great foresight and progressive enthusiasm.

With a continually rigorous attitude, he put forward an active introduction of related business concepts, tools, and others to promote the development of the entire industry, combining deep thinking with adequate research. As early as 2013, attorney ZHANG first proposed the concept of family attorney at the National Forum of All China Lawyers Association and then published a book detailing the family office, an important institution in the family wealth management field. He also redefined the complete concept of the family trust, an important structural tool, which opened a window for attorneys aimed to be engaged in the field to gain in-depth knowledge, thus promoting the expansion of the legal services market.

Over years, he has accumulated a good reputation in the field of private wealth by his excellent business ability and has handled numerous complex and difficult projects.

Attorney ZHANG has been invited to participate in many seminars related to family trusts and wealth management, and has delivered a number of keynote speeches, expressed unique insights on forward-looking issues in the industry. He has put forward new ideas on the innovation and optimization of trust governance and ownership structure, and prejudged the future trend of family trusts.
