Juliette de Hutton heads Bowmans’ South African Restructuring Practice. She has extensive experience in court proceedings related to insolvency and regularly acts for liquidators dealing with the winding-up process and the litigation that flows from insolvency enquiries. She is well versed in both the litigious and commercial aspects of business rescue proceedings, creditors’ compromises under the Companies Act, and distressed debt, debt restructuring and enforcing security. She is a member of the South African Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association (SARIPA) and the Turnaround Management Association of South Africa (TMA – SA).
Juliette has BA, LLB and LLM degrees from the University of Cape Town and has completed an Advanced Short Course in Business Rescue Practice through the University of South Africa. She is also a Solicitor admitted in the High Court of England and Wales.
