Julia Norris is the Managing Partner of FS Litigation’s specialist commercial litigation and professional negligence practice.
About
• With over 20 years' litigation experience, Julia is ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners UK where she is noted as an ‘excellent litigator’, ‘first class’ , ‘a superb lawyer’, and ‘one of the very best in the business’.
• Julia specialises in high-value, complex, multi-party professional negligence disputes, often involving national law firms, financial institutions, tax advisers, accountants and other professionals.
• With a Band 1 ranking in Chambers & Partners in Professional Negligence, Julia has considerable experience of multi-million-pound claims concerning failed tax planning and investments. She is also often instructed in negligence claims against other firms of solicitors, most notably in respect of badly handled corporate transactions.
• Julia trained at Wacks Caller, qualified at Pannone LLP and became a Partner of FS Legal in 2014 before founding the specialist and dedicated litigation-only firm, FS Litigation.

• In the Matter of Hartley Pensions Limited (In Administration):
Representing respondents in a £40M claim within a Part 8 application involving £1.3BN of pension assets.
• Halsall v Champion Consulting Ltd:
Represented the claimants in a widely reported £6M tax scheme negligence case.
• Anthony Barness & Ors v Formation Group Plc & Ors
Representing one of over 150 defendants in a major multi-party, multi-million-pound claim.
• £6m Negligence Claim:
Advising the Claimants in a £6M negligence claim against their former solicitors arising from a £15m corporate SPA transaction.
• £15m Claim against Qubic Tax
Advising the Claimants on a £15M claim against tax promoter, Qubic Tax Limited, and an accountancy firm in connection with a failed tax scheme. Also advising on a negligence claim against former Counsel and solicitors related to both tax and litigation advice.
• £13m Tax Schemes Claim
Advising the Claimants on a £13M claim against tax promoters and accountants in connection with multiple failed tax schemes and a negligence claim against former solicitors.
