Jukka Lång is the leading Finnish lawyer in the field of data protection and privacy and a trusted strategic speaking partner and advisor for many innovative Finnish listed companies in all their business matters relating to data protection and cyber security. He advises clients in large-scale international data protection and data security compliance projects and provides strategic advice, for example, in projects relating to adaption of artificial intelligence, data transfers and connected devices. He has also represented clients in ground-breaking data protection disputes in different Finnish courts, including the Supreme Administrative Court, and on the EU level in the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg.
Since 2012 he has been teaching a course of data protection law and contracts at the Faculty of Law, University of Helsinki, and he has served as chairman of the Finnish Bar Association’s Technology, Communication and Data Protection expert group 2018–2024.
