Judy Y Barrasso

Ms Barrasso represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters, nationwide, including unfair trade practices, professional liability, securities and banking, class actions, insurance coverage and insurance bad faith claims. She serves as national counsel for an international insurer, overseeing COVID-related claims nationwide. She served as court-appointed insurance liaison counsel in the Hurricane Katrina and Chinese drywall litigations, and in other individual multi-party matters. Judy has handled matters in at least twelve states.

Ms Barrasso is a founding Member of Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver. She has been ranked among Benchmark Litigation’s Top 250 Women in Litigation and Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Lawyers in America. She was also inducted into Lawdragon's Hall of Fame. In 2017 and 2018, Louisiana Super Lawyers ranked Judy as Number One among lawyers in the State of Louisiana.

Judy is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a fellow and Past President of the International Society of Barristers. Judy was inducted into Tulane Law School’s Hall of Fame in 2018.
