Juan Rodriguez co-leads S&C’s European Competition Group and is co-head of the Firms global Antitrust Group. He has experience advising companies around the world in a broad range of industries including: chemicals/pharmaceuticals; oil and gas; financial services; the automotive sector and IT, technology/consulting services. Mr. Rodriguez has extensive expertise representing companies in merger control proceedings and cartel investigations before the European Commission and national competition authorities in Europe. His recent representations include: Fiat Chrysler in its pending merger with Peugeot; Merck’s $6.5 billion acquisition of Versum; Fiserv’s merger with First Data; Bayer’s $66 billion acquisition of Monsanto; Praxair’s $80 billion merger of equals with Linde; Fiat Chrysler’s sale of Magneti Marelli to CK Holdings; Fiat Chrysler’s EU state aid investigation and subsequent appeal against the decision and Iveco’s Office of Fair Trading and European Commission’s landmark Trucks cartel investigation.
