His professional practice focuses on debt issuances of banking institutions in Colombia and abroad. He has represented lenders, sponsors, borrowers and Colombian governmental entities in financings and the development of projects in the energy, infrastructure and oil and gas sectors.

He has a Law Degree from Universidad de Los Andes (1994), a Postgraduate Degree in Finance Law, graduated with honors, from Universidad de Los Andes (1995) and an LL.M. in Financial Services Law, graduated with honors, from IIT- Chicago Kent College of Law (1998).

-Counsel to IFC - Corporación Financiera Internacional in Bogotá’s first international green bond issuance aimed at financing clean transportation projects such as the second metro line and two cable cars.

-Counsel to Procaps Group entities in a debt restructuring of USD 209 million existing debt that will help the group focusing on its plans to restore profitability by cutting costs and concentrating on its most profitable areas, particularly prescription drugs and contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) services.

-Local counsel to The Bank of Nova Scotia in the integration of the banking operations in Colombia, Costa Rica and Panama with Davivienda. BNS will hold an approximate 20% ownership stake in the combined banking operations. Additionally, the acquisition of Mercantil Colpatria's interest in Scotiabank Colpatria in Colombia will be effected.
