José Manuel Madero

Mr. Madero is a Partner in Baraona Marshall’s Insurance Practice. He has more than 17 years of experience advising international reinsurers, domestic insurance companies, insurance brokers and policyholders on regulatory and contentious insurance matters. His practice focuses on insurance law, coverage litigation and arbitration, complex claims adjustment and settlement, and strategic advisory services for the insurance industry.

Mr. Madero holds a law degree from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and a Postgraduate Degree in Insurance Law from the University of Buenos Aires, as well as a Diploma in Insolvency and Business Restructuring from Universidad del Desarrollo. He is an instructor accredited by the Chilean Financial Market Commission (CMF) to teach in the certification program required for insurance brokers and is a member of the Chilean Chapter of the International Association of Insurance Law (AIDA Chile).

He has been recognized by Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, Leaders League and Best Lawyers for his expertise in insurance law and insurance coverage litigation.
