Experience

Jordi is one of Statim’s founding partners. He is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association and develops his advocacy and arbitral practice primarily in the areas of sport law and corporate & commercial.

In the sports field, Jordi advises various stakeholders in the sports and entertainment industry (clubs, athletes, agents, federations, leagues and companies in the audiovisual sector, among others) on contractual, regulatory, and disciplinary matters and in the exploitation of broadcasting rights and sponsorship. He is also an arbitrator in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) based in Lausanne, Switzerland, Single Judge of the Anti-Doping Tribunal of the International Cycling Union (UCI) based in Aigle, Switzerland, and arbitrator of the LaLiga Football Arbitration Tribunal (Tribunal Arbitral del Fútbol), having participated as sole arbitrator, president of the arbitration panel or co-arbitrator in more than 100 arbitration proceedings.

In the corporate & commercial field, he has extensive experience in acquisitions of companies, real estate, businesses, and other assets, in corporate restructuring operations, and in other corporate and M&A transactions, foreign investment and financing, as well as in regularly providing advice on corporate, stock market, contractual, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance matters to multinational companies in sectors such as pharmaceuticals and health, real estate, automotive, large-scale distribution, textiles, marketing and advertising, and hotels, among others. He also advises entrepreneurs and investors in new technological and innovation projects, both in the configuration and initial phases of the project and in the investment rounds, as well as in later phases of consolidation of the company and its eventual sale. He also has in-depth knowledge about data protection, advertising, and unfair competition.

He also defends and represents the interests of the firm's clients in all types of litigation in civil and commercial matters and in commercial arbitration, and he is also an arbitrator of the Arbitration Court of Barcelona and a member of the Club Español e Iberoamericano del Arbitraje (CEIA).

Jordi is also a professor in various master’s degree programs and specialized courses such as the FIFA Executive Program in Sports Arbitration, Master’s in Law Applied to Professional Football at LaLiga, Master’s in Food & Beverage Sustainable Entrepreneurship from the Universitat Abat Oliba, Master in International Management de la Geneva Business School, International Master’s Degree in Sports Law – LLM at the Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid-Universidad Europea, the Master’s in Sports Management and Legal Skills at FCB Universitas – ISDE, and the Diploma in Sports Law program at the Universidad Austral de Buenos Aires, among others.
