Statim advises the different operators in the sports industry (clubs, athletes, national and international federations, leagues, intermediaries…) on all kinds of contractual, disciplinary, and regulatory issues, and defends their interests in procedures developing before the dispute resolution chambers of international sports federations, ordinary courts, and arbitration courts, with particular intensity and regularity before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS-CAS).

Additionally, our firm represents investors interested in acquiring a stake in sports entities or businesses, sponsors seeking to link their brand with a club, athlete, or association, companies in the technology industry contracting sports services and content, and esports teams and players in matters concerning their participation in competitions or establishing their employment or services relationships.

Statim is especially active in the context of football, doping, and management and commercialization of audiovisual rights for sporting events, though we have ample experience in many other sports, such as cycling, paddle tennis, swimming, tennis, basketball, and gymnastics.

Moreover, a number of our attorneys act as arbitrators or judges in sports courts, such as the TAS-CAS, the International Cycling Union (UCI) Anti-Doping Tribunal, the Euroleague Basketball Dispute Resolution Chamber, the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal, Sport Resolutions, or the LaLiga Football Arbitration Court.
